It’s been a busy few weeks behind the scenes here at Long Arm HQ (also known as my chaotic, sculpture-filled studio), and while I’m not currently elbow-deep in clay or bronze, there’s a different kind of work going on: the groundwork.

Right now, I’m deep in the funding phase—writing applications, knocking on doors, and building the support network needed to get the Long Arm wildlife sculpture trail moving across the UK. The GoFundMe has reached an incredible £870.00 so far, which blows my mind. Thank you to everyone who’s donated, shared, or sent words of encouragement. It means more than you know.

Our first confirmed exhibition of the trail is fast approaching: Long Arm, the life-sized animal sculpture inspired by the blind orangutan Leuser, will be installed at the Pollyanna Pickering Gallery in Yorkshire at the end of June—marking the sculpture’s first indoor appearance. It’s a beautiful, fitting venue to kick off this mission to tell Leuser’s story—a story of survival, blindness, and resilience that cuts straight to the heart of what this project is all about.

While the hands-on creative side is currently on pause (just for a moment!), the vision behind this conservation-focused animal artwork is alive and building momentum. I’m reaching out to venues, pitching to partners, and doing everything I can to secure the funding needed to bring this sculpture trail of endangered wildlife to life across ten meaningful locations.

The work is slow, but it’s purposeful—and it’s happening. Thank you for walking this journey with me.

If you’d like to support or get involved, you can donate, spread the word, or reach out directly. Every voice helps carry Long Arm’s message for wildlife further.
