Orangutan Haven Trail

Join the Trail. Share Your Witness.

Thank you for visiting Long Arm, the Blind Witness.
This sculpture tells the true story of Leuser, a critically endangered Sumatran orangutan who was shot 62 times in the face and groin after wandering onto a palm oil plantation that had destroyed the forest — his home.

Though Leuser survived, he was left permanently blind.
Today, he stands as a powerful symbol of survival.
He doesn’t need pity.
But his presence — his stillness, his resilience — demands change.

This is not just a sculpture.
It’s a movement — a call to witness, to remember, and to act.
By being here, you are now part of Leuser’s Trail — a growing human chain carrying his story, spreading awareness, and standing up for the rainforest and its rightful inhabitants.

We invite you to upload your photo, share a few words, and scan the QR code to download the app that helps you make better choices when shopping — supporting products made with certified sustainable palm oil and protecting habitats like Leuser’s.

What did meeting Long Arm mean to you?

What feeling, truth, or question are you carrying away?

Your words and image will become part of a living archive — a collective witness, sparking compassion and action in others.

By uploading, you agree that your contribution may be shared publicly to support this global awareness campaign.

Let’s carry Leuser’s story forward — and become the long arm of protection.
